Dr. Kirill Jordan

BSc, BClinChiro

Hi, I’m Kirill, a Subiaco chiro with a background in personal training, a passion for lifting, and a strong focus on treating pain through movement. I studied at Murdoch University and take an evidence-based, biomechanical approach to restore function, reduce discomfort, and improve performance.

My treatments are longer and more tailored than most, combining hands-on care, active rehab, and only using imaging when truly needed. I’ve worked with a wide range of people across Perth and regional WA, with a special interest in sports chiropractic, though you don’t need to be an athlete to benefit.

Outside the clinic, I’m a dad to a busy three-year-old and spend my time in the gym, with family, or in the ocean. I’m conveniently located near Subiaco, so come in for a chat. I’d love to get to know you and your goals.

Our Subiaco Chiropractic Services

At Carbon Chiro, we offer comprehensive chiropractic care that goes beyond just treating back and neck pain. Our services focus on movement optimisation (eg. for crossfiters, weight lifters, and everyday gym goers), pain relief in any joint, and injury recovery, addressing conditions such as headaches, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic joint issues. We use a combination of soft tissue therapy, spinal and joint adjustments, rehabilitation, and posture correction to restore mobility, reduce discomfort, and enhance overall function.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or looking to improve strength and performance, our tailored approach helps you move better, feel stronger, and prevent future issues.

Headaches

Headaches are a common complaint, but they can sometimes become so severe that they affect your ability to focus, achieve your goals for the day, or, in severe cases, your ability to function. At Carbon Chiro, we specialise in chiro for headaches to help alleviate your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common condition that affects millions of people and can range from mild discomfort to severe, debilitating pain. It can occur anywhere along the cervical spine and is often caused by muscle strain, joint dysfunction, nerve irritation, or structural issues within the spine. Neck pain can impact daily activities, posture, and mobility, leading to headaches, stiffness, or radiating pain into the shoulders and arms.

Injuries

Injuries occur when the body’s muscles, joints, bones, or soft tissues sustain damage due to trauma, overuse, or strain. They can range from mild discomfort to severe, debilitating conditions that affect mobility and daily function. Injuries may be acute, resulting from sudden incidents like falls, sports accidents, or car crashes, or chronic, developing over time due to repetitive stress, poor posture, or muscular imbalances. Left untreated, injuries can lead to long-term pain, reduced mobility, and increased risk of further complications.

Back Pain

Back pain is a common condition that affects millions of people and can range from mild discomfort to severe, debilitating pain. It can occur anywhere along the spine, from the neck (cervical spine) to the lower back (lumbar spine), and may be caused by muscle strain, joint dysfunction, nerve irritation, or structural issues within the spine.

Frequently Asked Questions

The initial consultation consists of a thorough history and clinical examination including orthopaedic, neurological, and postural assessments. Imaging will be arranged if indicated, and you may be referred to another health practitioner (eg. GP) if there are particular concerns before commencing treatment. That said, your first appointment will usually include treatment if your clinician feels it is safe to do so.

Yes, you can. Just check with your health fund to see whether your premium includes chiropractic.

We use HICAPS, which accepts all Australian private health funds as well as Medicare. If you have forgotten your private health card, don’t worry – you can now tap and claim through your phone (check if your insurer’s app supports this).

This is one of the most common questions asked.

It depends on the reason for your visit: whether your pain is acute or chronic, and how much this affects your day-to-day life. If you are an athlete going through rehab or looking to refine performance, your starting point and your goals will determine your treatment plan.

We pride ourselves in honesty and transparency at Carbon; we will be clear about our recommendations from the get-go, and will never upsell a service beyond what you really need. We will give you options to choose from that suit your budget and schedule, and then work alongside you as you make progress.

Light to moderate exercise is beneficial after a treatment, as it promotes blood flow, which helps the body’s healing process. Exercise such as walking, bike riding and swimming can all be beneficial; however, try to avoid vigorous and explosive exercises such as weightlifting, jumping, and plyometrics immediately after treatment, as these place significant stress on the muscles, ligaments and joints, which may lessen the treatment benefit.

It is also best to avoid sitting for long periods immediately afterwards – if you work in an office, check the ergonomics of your desk space, and try to keep moving as much as you can.

Adjustments are still the most common chiropractic treatment, and what chiro is known for (although it is only a small part of what we do!). An adjustment is a quick, small force applied in a specific way to a joint to increase movement, eliminate restriction in the joint and provide pain relief.

For more information on why and how adjustments work, check out our blog post What is a chiropractic adjustment and what’s that cracking sound? which contains more detail, or come visit our Subiaco Chiropractic clinic for a chat!
